We have a returning guest this week, film and music video director Jessie Klearman. She brings us another comedic sketch about a situation we are all familiar with: what if a yoga session becomes too hot to handle? We also talk about the docuseries THE WAY DOWN, COMMUNITY, various cults, the current state of myspace and so much more. What can we say? We have a wide variety of interests.
Jessie Klearman, UCLA MFA ‘20 writer and director, specializes in character development, from 10 year olds throwing a seance to young moms solving murders, she writes authentic people for the audience to bond with as she takes them on each new journey. Jessie has placed in multiple screenwriting competitions including Bluecat Screenplay Contest and Story Stowe Labs. Her short films, “Boondax” and “Presents” have screened at festivals around the globe including the Halifax Black Film Festival, Sunscreen Film Festival, St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase and HorrorHaus Film Festival, where she received a nomination for “Best Student Film.” Additionally, Jessie Klearman’s music videos have earned selections at the Music Video Awards, London Music Video Festival and the Palm Beach International Music Awards, where she was given an honorable mention for “Best Director.”
